Sports for the Disabled 2017

JJCDR held its sports meet for its beneficiaries at St.Johns College Jaffna on 1.7.2017 Mr. P.Thayananthan, Divisional Secretary, Jaffna was the chief guest on this occasion.

Director Teaching Hospital Jaffna Dr.T.Sathiyamoorthy, Mr.T.Satgunarajah , Propritor ,Seemati Textiles, were present as special guests at the prize giving ceremony and distribution of certificates to the winners.

The Distinguished Guests were received by the founder members of JJCDR Dr(Mrs)J.Ganeshamoorthy, Dr(Mrs)S.Theivendran and other members of Board of Management.

About 100 persons with disabilities from different part of Jaffna district took part in the meet. Bicycle Race, Tri cycle Race, Hurdles, Shot-Put, Discus Throw, Tug of War, Kadjan Weaving, Speed Walk, Slow Cycling are some of the games engaged by the competitors.

Mr.V.S.B.Thuseetharan,Vice Principal of St.John’s College and Member of the Advisory Board of JJCDR has played a key role for the success of the programme.

Mrs.A.A.Aloysius , Hon.Secretary, JJCDR delivered vote of thanks.
